”There’s a lot I like with B3, but most of all I appreciate the friendly atmosphere. The working climate is excellent. Everyone’s on an equal footing, and there’s good communication. There are no hierarchies and you can tell that people genuinely care about each other”. Katarzyna Saladucha has worked at B3 since 2018 when the company was established in Poland. Meet Katarzyba in an interview.
Tell me about your background
I studied languages and worked in sales for a while, before getting into HR where I began working with recruitment. I’m passionate about working with people. I got a job as a recruitment specialist, which I found fascinating, but eventually I became disappointed at losing touch with the candidates so quickly, as soon as a role was assigned. I wanted to stay in touch with people for longer and be part of their journey, so I started looking round for new challenges.
How did you come into contact with B3?
My initial contact was via LinkedIn. I posted that I was looking for a new job, and came into contact with B3. I met Martin Nilsson and Rafal Dabkowski just when B3 was setting up in Poland, and I immediately thought how exciting it would be to be part of a new company right from the start. To begin with, I didn’t really know what to expect. But I wanted to try something new, a broader role, and this was just such an opportunity, so I accepted the offer from B3 right away. I also thought it would be interesting working for a company with a Swedish culture.
What’s your current role?
I work with recruitment and search, and the whole process of finding suitable candidates. I also work with social media and employer branding. Another important aspect of my role involves maintaining the relationship with our consultants once they’ve been employed. I’m responsible for a group of consultants, and I talk to all of them every week. We also meet up regularly at various gatherings. It’s incredibly important that the consultants feel their employer cares about them and that they have someone to turn to, regardless of whether it’s a major issue or just something small. I love the fact that I can now be part of employees’ journeys.
What’s the best thing about working at B3?
There’s a lot I like, but most of all I appreciate the friendly atmosphere. The working climate is excellent. Everyone’s on an equal footing, and there’s good communication. There are no hierarchies and you can tell that people genuinely care about each other. It’s like being part of a family, which is unique for a Polish workplace.
What are your plans for the future?
I want to keep growing in my role at B3, and I also hope to work more broadly with employer branding and HR issues. Aside from work, an important personal goal of mine is to buy my own apartment.
