B3 Consulting Group is one of Sweden’s fastest growing consultancy companies with senior consultants within IT and Management. We help Sweden’s foremost companies and organisations to create tomorrow’s opportunities using digitalisation and operations development.

Our client assignments include involvement in all stages of digital transformation – from analysis and strategy, through to realisation. Which means working with new technology, new business models, new client behaviours and new ways of working.

We help businesses and organisations to streamline their IT operations by developing their technology, processes, strategies and organisation, and to improve their business operations thanks to smarter IT solutions.

B3 (B3IT) was started in 2003 and today, B3 has more than 650 employees and recorded turnover of SEK 726,3 million for the 2018 calendar year. It has offices in Stockholm, Warsaw, Borlänge, Sundsvall, Gävle, Göteborg, Malmö, Jönköping, Linköping and Örebro. B3’s shares have been listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm exchange since December 2016.

Our philosophy

B3 Consulting Group was founded in 2003 (under the name B3IT, which was used from 2003 until 2018) with the ambition of becoming Sweden’s best IT consultancy company – for our clients, for our consultants and for our investors. With a clear emphasis on senior consultants within IT and Management, we have experienced rapid growth with a particular focus on the most demanding clients in the market.

Growth is a conscious choice for B3. Every employee who joins us contributes their expertise, experience, ambition and networks. The more skilled our consultants are, the better placed we are to win our clients’ confidence, and the better our ability to deal with our assignments.

Our consultants are willing and able to take on tough assignments. We enjoy solving problems, capturing ideas, devising strategies and seeing them through to fruition. Based on our broad experience, we like to achieve results by contributing methods, knowledge and implementation skills.

  • 2019

    B3 acquires Alenio consulting and Nuway and has now more than 650 employees.

    B3 Consulting Group reports record numbers for 2018 with a turnover of SEK 726,3 MSEK and a growth of 17,2 percent.

    B3 launches a new talent program for junior consultants, B3 Rising Stars.

  • 2018

    B3 reports record numbers for 2017 with a turnover of SEK 619,7 MSEK and a growth of 26,9 percent. B3 acquires Reach Consulting and Third Base, ending the year with 600+ employees.

    The B3IT Group changes its name to B3 Consulting Group AB.

    B3 is established in Poland.

  • 2017

    B3IT begins the year by acquiring the consultancy company Init with 39 employees, bringing the total to more than 400 employees. The company reports turnover of SEK 488.5 million for 2016 as a whole, giving growth of 27.7 percent of which 21.7 is organic growth.

    B3IT strengthens its offering within digitalisation with the acquisition of digital agency Rebel & Bird. For the second year running, B3IT secures one of the top positions in Great Place To Work’s ranking of Sweden’s Best Workplaces 2017.

  • 2016

    B3IT continues to experience profitable growth. For 2015 as a whole, the company reports growth of 23 percent and significantly improved profitability. The number of employees in May 2016 totals 330. B3IT is listed on the Nasdaq First North Premier exchange in June 2016, and B3IT’s shares have been listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm exchange since 14 December 2016. B3IT comes a highly respectable third among the larger companies in Great Place To Work’s list of Sweden’s Best Workplaces 2016.

  • 2015

    B3IT publishes extremely strong annual results for 2014, with 37 percent growth and improved profitability. B3IT wins new framework agreements with Svenska Spel, the National Debt Office and the City of Stockholm. B3IT further strengthens its group management with the appointment of a new COO. Visab Consulting joins the B3IT family.

  • 2014

    B3IT now has 250 highly qualified employees, and continues to grow with quality. Cooperation is deepened with both Oracle and Microsoft. B3IT now has framework agreements with around twenty large businesses and agencies. B3IT takes over Platon AB, launching a new specialist business intelligence company: B3IT Insight.

  • 2013

    B3IT acquires D11 Consulting, and now has 232 employees. B3IT wins its fifth consecutive DI Gazelle Company title, secures new framework agreements with SKL Commentus and becomes a Microsoft Gold Partner within the Application Development and Data Platform categories.

    B3IT turns 10!

  • 2012

    B3IT’s growth continues, and the company wins its fourth DI Gazelle award.

    B3IT now has 190 employees, and continues to focus on senior consultants within IT and management.

  • 2011

    B3IT experiences further growth, and now has more than 150 employees. The company secures more assignments and a broader client base. Operations expand with the addition of its M2M business area.

    B3IT receives its third DI Gazelle award.

    B3IT boosts its presence in the Gothenburg market thanks to the acquisition of – and cooperation with – Castra Group. The company also wins framework agreements with Stockholm County Council and the Swedish Public Employment Service.

  • 2010

    B3IT reports record-breaking results, with turnover of SEK 134 million, growth of 40 percent and operating profit of SEK 9.4 million.

    The company has 97 employees (September 2011). Its operations expand through new subsidiaries in Örebro and Borlänge, together with two new business areas: IT Infrastructure and Testing & Quality Management.

  • 2009

    Despite a year of weak economic conditions, B3IT reports continued profitable growth of 12 percent. We receive our second Gazelle Company award from business publication Dagens Industri. We win new framework agreements with the Swedish Transport Administration and the Swedish Transport Agency, among others. The acquisition of Colosseum Consulting’s operations strengthens our Oracle business. We launch our new “B3: good, better, best” operational system and undergo certification in accordance with ISO 9001:2008.

  • 2008

    B3IT expands to 65 employees, with turnover of SEK 85 million and profit of SEK 4 million. The company is named a Super Company by Veckans Affärer and wins its first DI Gazelle Company title.

  • 2007

    The company grows to 49 employees and also works with twenty or so subconsultants. Through Swedish Consulting Group, we win framework agreements with Verva for the public sector. We secure a number of new administration assignments relating to databases and in-house developed software.

  • 2006

    Our success story continues, with the number of employees growing to 39. B3IT becomes a partner and co-owner of Swedish Consulting Group. The company begins its expansion in the Gothenburg market when B3IT Väst AB is founded.

    We enhance our Oracle service offering, achieving Certified Advantage Partner status. We win a new framework agreement with the Swedish Companies Registration Office.

    Our list of clients now includes Capio, Cision, Datametrix, Ericsson, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish National Police Board, Siemens Medical, SJ, Stockholm County Council, Tele2 and TeliaSonera.

  • 2005

    The company experiences rapid growth, both in terms of employee numbers and via its network of subconsultants. A new business area is established: IT in Healthcare. Clients include Stockholm County Council, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, SJ, Ericsson, Capio, SEB, Observer, the Swedish National Police Board and Siemens Medical.

  • 2004

    B3IT establishes a specialist group of senior consultants with a focus on databases, IT architecture and systems development. Our first branch office outside the Stockholm region opens in Sundsvall.

    All our telecoms assignments are brought together in a new subsidiary, B3IT Telecom AB.

    Our list of clients grows significantly with the addition of Skanska, Tele2, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Companies Registration Office, the Church of Sweden, SJ and Ericsson, among others.

  • 2003

    B3IT is founded with the vision of helping companies and organisations to streamline their IT operations. The first office opens at Nybodagatan 1 in Solna. Our very first assignments are carried out in the winter of 2003/04, primarily within IT management, with a focus on making IT environments more cost-efficient.
